When the Barnes & Noble Nook was first unleashed in late 2009, most Nook reviews gave it a barely passing grade citing performance issues that the book company could have seen to before actual release. Noting these concerns, Barnes & Noble didn’t waste any time making upgrades to the Nook’s hardware to improve its functionality. Amazon has had a great year in 2009. A lot of the credit for that must go to the Kindle ebook reader family. The Kindle 2.0 and its larger sibling, the DX, have been a huge success for Amazon. The Kindle is now Amazon’s number one selling product.
