Google Wave is one of Google’s newer products introduced in 2009. Wave is a product that Google hopes will eventually replace e-mail as way of electronic communication.
The new Wave program will allow coworkers around the world to work simultaneously on the same document. Each will be able to add photographs, maps, videos or rich text documents anywhere in the communication.
By sending a wave, any participant can reply anywhere within the message. They can also make edits or add other participants at any time during the process. There is even a playback feature which allows any participant in the wave to rewind a message to see who has said what along the process.
Google wave will be an excellent methodology to improve group projects. Notes from local or on line meetings can be shared with others around the globe. Photographs and illustrations can be inserted as needed. Satellite offices can use the program to brainstorm. For relaxing and down time, there are even interactive games that will fill your spare time.
Google wave takes the best features of G-mail where messages are threaded, adds the best features of an instant messenger and adds even more features.
The program has been released to a select group of users but is currently considered to be in the development state and will be through the end of 2009. Full release should be seen sometime in 2010.
In the program, you will find such handy features as spelling and grammar check. In addition, a translator can convert documents into 40 different languages, once again making the service useful around the globe.
Google Wave will be in full release soon. Currently, you can request to be a part of the evaluation team, however you must wait for an invitation.
Very soon Google mail will be taken over by a new brand of communication. Google Wave is the new development from the popular brand. Wave developers are suggesting that this tool is going to be the best mail program yet.
